For 2011 the Alimaq is adopting procedures aimed at environmental preservation, so, deployed in the maintaining area a spray booth down draf with dry filter, the exhausted air from the booth is released for atmosphere free of solid waste, with it also able to optimize the time for painting and drying equipments. After the booth it comes with a stove that will make the drying within 20 to 30 minutes.
Other equipment was bought for blasting machines based on zinc oxide, used for blasting parts and to remove old paint and rust, leaving the part completely clean for a new painting, it will return to origin status.
Moreover, expanded the hydraulic maintenance area, to accommodate the demand for equipments that are used for rentals and services, so that the tools are always in compliance, moreover, our technicians developed a test for hydraulic puller, that will serve to detect leaks the moving parts of equipment.
The Alimaq is investing and expanding the internal structure, so that in 2011 you can have at your disposal the best equipments and a company 100% focused on environmental preservation!

ALIMAQ launched the new branch office in September, in Araucaria – PR., a state so important to Brazil which deserves a special attention.

Campaign Coat 2010
Alimaq promoted in July one campaign coat, for collection of items, with the contribution of our employees could raise a lot of clothes and blankets.
The delivery of the donations was done on August 11, the ACSC- LAR DA MADRE REGINA, an entity that serves the elderly, located in the Ponte Grande neighborhood in Guarulhos. The organization was very pleased with the gesture of our employees, and sent a letter of thanks from our gesture of solidarity.

Alimaq and Camargo Corrêa a success partnership in Pipelines work!
Alimaq had been closing the deal with Camargo Corrêa´s Company to provide services of facing in Pipelines work.
Camargo Corrêa was contracted by Anglo American to construct the biggest pipeline of the world, called Minas–Rio with an extension of 525 kilometers.
The work will start in Minas Gerais State – in Conceição do Mato de Dentro city. However, already is under construction a pumping station (EB1), which will utilize eight pumps to start the ore’s travel. In Santo Antônio do Grama (MG) there will be the second pumping station (EB2) that will utilize ten another pumps. Before it reaches the destination, Porto do Açu – São João da Barra (RJ), will be installed the Valves Station (EV) in Tombo (MG), placed at 100 kilometers from the final travel’s destination, which will act as a break, regulating the pressure and speed of the pipeline. The route of the ore will be 6,7 kilometers per hour, the total journey of the pulp ore will be 525 kilometers, which will waste around 77 hours until its final destination.
For pipeline’s maintenance will be utilized a barrage to store the pulp which will stay in a stretch between the pumping stations EB1 and EB2, allowing a safety maintenance and without impact in the environment.
Just to have a clue the barrage will have 50 thousands cubic meters of pulp as capacity, it is equivalent to 20 Olympic swimming pools, to make it, there is an earthwork being constructing with 155 thousands cubic meters and 45 meters of height.
Meanwhile only the smallest stretch of the pipeline route, which has 178 km in a total of 525 km in Rio de Janeiro State, was liberated by Instituto Brasileiro de Meio Ambiente e Recursos Naturais Renováveis – Ibama (Brazilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources – Ibama)
Alimaq will be in São João da Barra – RJ on April in the last patio of pipes, gradually rising for the next patios of pipes according necessities of machining in the respective stretches and patios.
The machining service (broaching) which Alimaq will provide in some pipes across the stretch, aim minimize the thickness around 10 mm internally, its finality across the route of the ore’s pulp (70%) mixed with water (30%), is avoid the creation of eddy. This service rendering of machining will serve to avoid wastage of the pipeline in future.
